A high-ranking Lebanese security source has come forward to claim that U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson is moving forward with plans to create a “post-Hezbollah era” in Lebanon on behalf of Israel.
Johnson is currently mobilizing “internal” forces within Lebanon to wage war against Hezbollah on Israel’s behalf. While discussing her agenda with Lebanese politicians, Johnson stated that “Israel cannot achieve everything through war,” adding that the Jewish state needs help.
“It’s time for you to do your part and launch an internal uprising under the banner of ‘Enough,'” Johnson chided Lebanese politicians, telling them that they have a responsibility to do the bidding of Israel like she is demanding.
“The Lebanese people must show their desire to rise up and get rid of Hezbollah and return to the context that emerged after the assassination of Rafik Hariri, especially since the regional, international, and field circumstances are in your favor.”
The internal source further revealed that Johnson badgered Lebanese politicians and tried to manipulate them into doing Israel’s bidding by basically calling them cowards.
“Why do you seem afraid?” Johnson asked the Lebanese politicians point-blank. “Hezbollah has been defeated, it’s leadership is destroyed, and we are with you, and the entire free world stands by your side.”
(Related: A few weeks ago, Lebanese officials warned that a “doomsday” response is coming for the West, Asia and Europe if Israel proceeds with expanding its war as Johnson is demanding.)
Johnson continued in her diatribe to push Lebanese politicians to push for the election of Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun as the new president of Lebanon.
“He [Aoun] will appoint a strong commander for the Lebanese Army, and we will support the Army in restraining all Hezbollah supporters,” Johnson said. “You will have backing from Arab states and the West. But the time to act is now.”
To help further her personal crusade for Israel, Johnson is also quietly inciting what the media describes as “internal sectarian tensions” in the areas of southern Lebanon that are currently in the throes of turmoil due to the war, all for the purpose of destabilizing the situation even further so more Lebanese people will relent to Israel’s war agenda.
“Lebanon’s society is multi-confessional and multi-national, making the country susceptible to division by outside forces,” explains the news desk of The Cradle. “Its demographic is comprised of Christians (Catholic, Orthodox, and Maronites), Muslims (Sunni and Shia), Druze, and Palestinian and Syrian refugees.”
“Civil war engulfed Lebanon’s multifaceted society between 1975 to 1990. An estimated 150,000 people were killed.”
The same source that revealed all this to the Al-Akhbar newspaper also revealed that “mobilization operations” are currently being carried out in some Lebanese neighborhoods that are currently controlled by the Lebanese Forces, described as “a right-wing Christian political party.” This is all being done under the guise of “protecting our areas from the chaos of the displaced and so that they do not turn into occupiers.”
Johnson is also trying to weaken Hezbollah by calling on politicians, civil organizations and media professionals with whom she holds sway to do whatever they can to drive a wedge between Lebanon’s Shia and Hezbollah communities as part of the “divide and conquer” scheme.
“We do not only want to limit Hezbollah’’ influence, but we will strike its support lines, and we are working non-stop to bring down the regime in Iran as well,” Johnson also said, according to the insider, about how she wants to exploit the current situation in the Middle East to get rid of Hezbollah once and for all.
